President Barack Hussein Obama has stated that we should not rush to judgment as we try to digest the mass murder committed by Major Nidal Malik Hasan at Fort Hood, Texas.  Army chief of Staff George Casey has stated that “I’m concerned that this increased speculation could cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers”.

There is no rush to judgment.  The evidence seems very clear.  Hasan attended the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Virginia at the time that spiritual leader Anwar al-Aulaqi was the imam. Hasan, who accepted tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to support his medical education, spoke at a “grand rounds” stating that “infidels” should have their heads cut off and have burning oil poured down their throats.   al-Aulaqui crossed paths with two September 11, 2001 hijackers.  He runs a website that promotes violence against America.  He has praised the murderer for his actions.  It appears that Hasan has at least attempted to contact the imam in the past few months. 

National Public Radio has literally made up a new psychological diagnosis.  It is called “pre-traumatic stress disorder”.  This is supposed to account for the murderer’s actions based on the fact that after taking thousands of tax payer dollars he did not want to go to Iraq or Afghanistan to fight for his country.  As a psychologist I can tell you there is no such diagnosis and any reporter who conjures up such a diagnosis is actually practicing medicine without at license and should be arrested and convicted for doing so.

Another speculation is that the murderer was “burdened” by having to listen to the stories of our fighting men and women returning from the wars and “incorporating” their own REAL Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.  As a psychologist who has listened to hundreds of grisly stories from both veterans and abuse survivors, I can tell you that this is as farfetched as the “pre-traumatic stress disorder” speculation.  Yes, these stories are difficult to hear.  But, they do not lead us to violence.  In fact, the murderer was described by his peers and supervisors as cold, distant, and uncaring.  Someone like that does not get close enough to his patients to develop anything close to “secondary Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. 

Our country has become so “politically correct” that we cannot see the truth, let alone SAY the truth. 

The murderer is a terrorist.  It is that simple.  Let’s cut through the crap and say it like it is.  This is a culture war and the American people are losing. 

We must stand up soon against the National Socialist Party (whose leader won’t even go to Germany to celebrate the death of communism at the 20^th anniversary of the tearing down of the Berlin Wall).  We must stand up against islamofascists whose stated goal is to destroy America and all that we stand for.  And we must stand up against the media that hides the truth about both islamofascism and the liberal fascists who are destroying this nation.  If we do not stand up, we are going to lose this country.

Well over 20,000 REAL Americans took their voices to Washington today.  An event that was not orchestrated...an event that occurred with less than 6 days notice.  They showed up and they told the leftists in power exactly what they think.  What a wonderful follow-up to the events in New York 23 and to the votes in Virginia and New Jersey that took place only two days earlier. 

People came from around the country on a Thursday afternoon.  These were working people who took time from work to voice their opinions.  These were not the homeless and the supposedly "disenfranchised victims" that the Democrats (with the help of ACORN) bus to leftist events.  These people brought their passion without getting paid to do so.

Forty percent of Americans identify themselves as conservatives.  WE are the power in this country.  WE have to stop allowing the left to define us.  WE cannot allow the new national socialist party to take away our rights, our finances, and our futures. 

The people who showed up today in Washington represent the best of America and what is right with America.  RIGHT is right.  National socialism is wrong.  Reverend Wright who speaks before one of the leading socialist publications in the country about how America is wrong...the home of the slaves.  Get over the events of centuries past.  Stop being a victim and stand up and be a man.  Anita Dunn, the Obama communications director, states that one of her two favorite "philosophers" is Mao.  A 'safe schools" czar who believes that 15 old boys who are being sexually abused by adults have only one concern...be sure to wear a condom.  This is the "change" that candidate Obama promised America.  Why are some people so surprised that this is exactly what he is doing??

Now it if more important than ever.  We HAVE to keep up the fight.  It started with the tea parties.  It continued today.  We have a long way to go to get our country back.  And we can do it!

We need a total revamping of the Republican Party.

The GOP continues to listen to the left when it tells them that the only way they can succeed is to move toward the middle.  That is what the New York GOP has done.  They nominated (without a primary) a far left Democrat hiding under the name “Republican”.  She had to leave…but her parting shot was to endorse the far left Democrat who would have been her opponent.  Meanwhile, the people spoke.  The REAL Republican had to run under the Conservative Party heading.  He would have won if the original nominee’s name had been removed from the ballot.  DeDe won 5% of the vote…just enough to defeat the conservative.  This, in effect, was a victory for conservatives.  And the entire tale will be retold in 2010 when a real election is held in district 23. 

The message is clear.  When the Republican Party puts up a candidate who is truly conservative, it WILL win.  In a recent Gallop Poll, 40% of the respondents identified themselves as conservatives while only 20% identified themselves as liberals.  Thirty-six percent identified themselves as independents.  It will not help the GOP to move left.  It will help them to identify themselves with the core values of the party.  Strict adherence to the Constitution.  Adherence to conservative social and economic values. Believe in something higher and more powerful than us.  Belief in the strength and resiliency of the human being.  And a belief in keeping government out of our lives except for those few key areas where government power is granted by the Constitution. 

If the Republican Party learns anything from 2009, it is that it needs to stop back peddling on what is right.  It needs to stand up and take the risk of acknowledging the truth.  That truth is that America will not succeed if we move toward National Socialist (i.e., Fascism).  President Obama wants to take us down the road of post-Weimar Republic Germany.  REAL Americans will not go there. 

Stand up, Republicans.  You are the hope for this country.  If you falter now, we are doomed.

I am reposting a commentary that was originally published on December 3, 2007.  It seems particularly relevant today, as the liberal fascists who are running this country are gaining more and more power and taking away more and more of our individual rights.

In my November 28 commentary (It is Just About Right), I once again noted the limitations placed on the federal government by the U.S. Constitution.  In this commentary I want to delve into this statement a bit more deeply.

A reading of Article I, Section 8 and Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution makes very clear the charge given Congress by the forefathers as well as the limitations that were simultaneously set down.  It is not my intent to list each of the 18 powers and 8 prohibitions.  It IS my intent to summarize each power under common headings.

Financial and Trade:  The U.S. Constitution grants Congress the power to tax (with specific restrictions), coin money, borrow money, to pay debt, to regulate commerce with foreign nations, states, and tribes, to fix the standard of weights and measures, and to create laws regarding bankruptcy.  Congress is also responsible for the punishment of counterfeiting and for establishing what has become known as patent law.

National Defense:  Congress is responsible for the “common defense and general welfare of the United States”, for declaring war, for raising and supporting armies and a navy and for regulating such, and for providing the means for calling up the militia to execute law and suppress insurrections and repel invasions and for regulating such.

Immigration:  Congress is responsible for establishing uniform rules of naturalization.

Infrastructure:  Congress is responsible for establishing post offices and post roads and for exercising authority over all “needful buildings” purchased through legislation (including forts, magazines, arsenals, and dock yards).

Legal:  Congress is responsible for establishing courts (inferior to the Supreme Court), to define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas and offenses against the law of nations.  Congress is also responsible for making all laws which shall be necessary and proper for executing the powers listed.

When summarized in this manner, it can be seen that Congress really has only five broad categories of power, many of them with restrictions laid down in Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution.  Some of the twenty-seven amendments to the Constitution add further complexity but in my view do not substantially change the basic powers and limitations outlined here.

So what is the purpose of this little exercise?  My purpose is to once again make the point that our forefathers truly understood the limitations of government and those individuals who would come to govern our nation.  Their goal was to keep it as simple as possible.  Through years and years of legislation, litigation, and regulation (much of it from those on the left), this simplicity has been lost in favor of ever increasing government control over all of us.  I see nothing in the Constitution about Congress being granted the power to regulate morality, healthcare, smoking, drinking, helmet use, what I can drive, where I can drive, how far I can drive, how long I can leave my lights on, what I can do on my own property, regulation of gun ownership or right to carry, or what I can eat or how much.  I also see nothing in the Constitution giving Congress the power to ensure that citizens are not offended.  Of course, going beyond Article I, we know that there is nothing in the Articles of or Amendments to the Constitution that specifies “separation of church and state”, limitations on owning and carrying guns, or any of the other infringements on personal rights listed above.

So, that is the point of this little diatribe.  Unless we begin to elect more and more constructionists…people who understand the limitations of government and the limitations of the competencies of those in government…America will move further and further toward the government control that is so tied to the tyrannical socialist, communist, and fascist governments that surround us.  This is the time that we must ALL stand tall and rebuild America as our forefathers envisioned it.

Now the federal government is openly restricting free speech.  The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid is restricting the free speech of Humana (a health insurance company) that informed its senior members that their costs would be increased under Obamacare.  The government told them to stop doing that, even though the Congressional Budget Office agreed that the costs for seniors would, in fact, be increased (see AP, 9/22/09).

Doesn't anyone get it!?!?

This is national socialism (i.e., fascism) in the making.  Quiet those who see the truth.  Take away individual rights.  Take away benefits that have been well earned.  Nationalize EVERYTHING! 

President Obama has decided to be nothing more than his own press secretary.  Instead of working in his office and leading, he is nothing more than a mouthpiece.  He talks constantly.  He travels constantly.  A real leader works and shows up to finalize the deal.  This president talks incessantly...but doesn't even know the content of what he speaks. 

This is a sad era in American history.  It has nothing to do with race.  As President Obama said himself, he was black before he was elected.  This is about the attempted redefinition of America as a fascist nation.

This is very serious. 

The elite media in the United States has finally decided to give up any pretense of balance in their reporting. 

One of the biggest affirmations that American’s want to stay free of big government control took place on Saturday, September 12.  The event drew over a million people.  Some estimate up to 1.7 million.  That is not counting the tens of thousands of Americans who attended “tea parties” in their own cities on that same date and previously. 

The elite print media reported that “tens of thousands” attended the Washington, D.C. event.  Most of the elite print media buried the report many pages into their newspapers.  Following suit, the liberal Minneapolis Star Tribune carried the story on page A20 (September 13, 2009).  The Strib stated that the event was built on the momentum from the tea parties “held nationwide to protest tax policies, along with growing resentment over the economic stimulus packages and bank bailouts”.

As if this wasn’t bad enough, some in the elite broadcast media denied any knowledge of the Washington event, foremost of which was Charles Gibson who stated in an interview with WLS in Chicago that he purposefully ignored the event while sailing in Maine. 

We all know that the tea parties were not just about tax and financial polices.  They demonstrated a growing realization that President Obama and his far left, radical administration want to create a liberal fascist state.  The protests are about the fact that those attending and millions more want limited government. 

As usual the elite media downplayed the grass roots effort to protect the Constitution.  Apparently the perceived value of grass roots protests only exists when carried out by the left.

Even before the Washington protests, the media demonstrated its biased view.  When Van Jones resigned due to the fact that he had stated on tape that he was a communist and due to the fact that he promoted many other anti-American views, the press stated that conservatives “allege” that he was a communist.  They ignored that and all of the other anti-American assertions made by Jones himself.

Today, the press once again outdid itself.  Following a strong barrage from the conservative media, the elite media finally addressed the issue concerning ACORN.  The New York Times (Scott Shane, as reported in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, September 16, 2009) stated that ACORN “had done some work for the campaign”.  The report stated that “conservative activists and broadcasters were gleeful about the success” of a sting operation in which ACORN workers instructed a presumed pimp and his hooker on how to deal with tax issues given that they wanted to import Latina children as prostitutes.  The article stated that “it was the latest scalp claimed by those on the right who hope to weaken the Obama administration by attacking its allies and appointees they view as leftist”.

First of all, those allies and appointees ARE leftist by their own admission.  This is not something made up by the right.  Secondly, ACORN demonstrated that it is not guided by law but by their interest in weakening this country by supporting illegal activity such as tax evasion and illegal immigration.  But the leftist press cannot acknowledge those facts since they are the mouth piece for President Obama.

Surprisingly the Democrat controlled Senate voted 83-7 to prohibit the Department of Housing ad Urban Development from giving federal housing money to ACORN.  If a Democrat controlled Senate takes that type of action, the issue must be even worse than we know.

The Time report as carried by the Strib also mentioned that on September 11, the Census Bureau dropped ACORN as a national partner in the 2010 census.  No comment was made about why that might have happened.  Could it have been due to the fraud that was committed by ACORN during the last election?

This all makes sense when it is clear that the media has joined the Obama Administration in an effort to promote what they consider to be an ideal world – National Socialism (i.e., fascism).  No longer do the media even pretend to present a balanced view of national and world events.  If not for the internet, Fox News, and conservative talk radio, Americans would continue to live as oblivions, as we did during the Walter Cronkite era.  At least now those who are willing to do a little research can learn the truth.  It is up to all of us to do so. 

The truth sets us free and to ignore the truth will make us all the slaves of big government.  Just ask the Germans who were alive during World War II.

According to the Washington Post, Van Jones has resigned!  I know I am happy about that.  This Green Party (i.e., Communist Party) moron will no longer be in an official position of power.  HOWEVER, let us not forget...he is still a friend of President Obama.  I have no doubt he will continue advising the President in an "unofficial" capacity.  We are not out of the deep water yet.  And we won't be as long as we have a far left administration. 

Van Jones is a racist, a self-avowed communist, and is clearly anti American.  About President Obama, he stated “he is our guy”.  That is fact, no matter how much President Obama or Jones himself denies it.  What I have written above is based on Jones’ own words.  Van Jones is now the new “Green Czar”.  “Green” is another code word for “Communist” in America.  And that also is a fact.  Just read the histories of those currently describing themselves as members of the Green Party. 

Given the fact that President Obama hired Jones as a czar and given that Jones calls President Obama “our guy”, there can be no more denial.  President Obama agrees with Jones.  That means that President Obama is a racist and that President Obama wants to do what all the morons who voted for him either knew or denied:  He wants to change America into a tyrannical dictatorship.  BUT, not a dictatorship in the fashion of Stalin, as Jones might hope, but a dictatorship in the fashion of Hitler.  As I have said many times, President Obama is taking this country toward what can be termed Liberal Fascism (just go to the search engine and use the key words Liberal Fascism).  Don’t forget, Hitler’s party was the National Socialist Party.

One of the things that occurred during the period after the collapse of the Weimar Republic and the beginning of World War II was a restriction on free speech.  Now we see that happening here in America.  First, the administration talked about regulating radio stations to ensure that they could not carry conservative hosts without “balancing” with liberal hosts.  Of course, they overlook the fact that the government already funds National Public Radio which is purely liberal. 

Now, the government is censoring Fox News and specifically Glen Beck for his comments about President Obama.  As I have said above, I believe that President Obama is a racist.  That is all that Glen Beck said.  Those who believed that President Obama would bring change toward a more “open” society and a society that supports free speech were very wrong.  The only speech that the leftists allow is that which agrees with them. 

Color0fChange.org (which is a racist political action group) basically “commanded” advertisers to drop commercials on the Glen Beck Show or suffer the consequences.  Apparently a large number of advertisers did as ordered.  Guess what:  Van Jones is party of ColorofChange.  We now have a member of the administration demanding that certain conservative commentators be silenced. 

This is just another addition to my list of freedoms being taken away by the left.  The freedom of speech is paramount to the future of the America I know and love.  So much for free speech.

Apparently, President Obama’s supposed willingness to drop the “government option” in his health care plan was never serious…as predicted here and elsewhere.  It now appears that it may have been a trial balloon to determine whether or not he could gain enough concessions from conservatives to continue to push this catastrophe through Congress.  And by the way, co-op (as used by President Obama) is just another word for socialization of medicine.

Once the finalized Senate and House bills are in committee, the people and the Republicans will have little say in stemming the tide toward nationalized healthcare. President Obama gained no concessions and, in fact, not even increased trust from conservatives and a large percentage of Americans.  As a result, the balloon burst.  What was never a real proposal is now gone like the hot air it was.

President Obama will do almost anything to push through single-payer government-run health care.  Like the good Chicago politician and “community organizer” he is, he will try all maneuvers to get what he wants, even if a large percentage of Americans disagree.

So, why is it that so many Americans (even those who voted for him) are now balking at this move toward even greater government intervention in our lives?

First of all, many who voted for Obama were Republicans and Independents who never actually listened to what he was saying.  When he said that he wants bigger government, single-payer health care, gun control, and greater control over business, they seemed to go deaf.  Now they feel tricked.  Actually, the only trick is that they listened to Obama’s oratory style and not his words.  (To ground this a bit, listen to Hitler’s speeches and then read them.  The difference is remarkable.  Germans were also surprised at the evil they voted for.)

Secondly, a large percentage of Americans are happy with their health care or at least see it as better than a government option with its potential for stricter rationing and government regulation.  Those who have followed health care since the 1980’s, as I have, realize that managed care has done a pretty good job, given the financial limitations.  While managed care started out a bit rigid, over time a balance occurred. 

Unfortunately, that balance was upset when government became increasingly involved.  With rising legislation, regulation, and litigation, many of the strides made in cost savings were lost.  Unnecessary care was granted out of fear of government and legal intervention.  Today, it is very difficult for managed care organizations to say “no” to even some of the worst offenders.  The word “entitlement” has returned to health care and in some ways is as destructive as it was pre-managed care. 

Should the government take over health care, what has been seen as restrictiveness in some segments of the health care industry will seem like nothing compared to the rationing that will HAVE to accompany government funded health care.

This could be changed with LESS government intervention and more restrictions on the limits of litigation.  It cannot be changed with MORE government intervention.

Interesting, Howard Dean said this weekend that the Veterans Administration is one example of how well the government can run a health care program.  Has he EVER been involved with the VA or has anyone he knows?  The track record of the VA in caring for our veterans is abominable.  Many won’t even go to the VA for services they deserve because they can’t actually get that care.  Many Americans know that and want no part of government-run ANYTHING except the essentials!  The most important of those essentials is national defense. 

It is time for the government to start focusing on what it is mandated to do and to stop sticking its nose into areas it is not wanted other than by the liberal fascists among us.

As the health care and spending “debates” continues on, the left has begun condemning the right for not engaging in “reasonable discourse” and for not “reasoning together” with the Obama administration. 

Interestingly, there has been little if any room for the conservative voice in these so-called debates.  The concerns of those of us on the right are minimized immediately as being unreasonable, or even worse, as being racist.  That is one reason that the conservative voice has become so loud at the recent town hall meetings.  Those trying to voice their concerns are minimized and given platitudes with no foundation in fact.  As is the way of the left, the message is “just believe me, just trust because this is how I feel”.  In order to be heard, the right is raising its voice.  The left accuses these people of being organized at the hand of special interest groups.  Many on the left believe this because this is how THEY have operated for years, bussing in their supporters or worse yet, paying them for their time.  Much less so for the right.

It amazes me that those supporting President Obama’s direction are able to say with a straight face that conservatives are not willing to engage in “reasonable discourse” and that much of the furor comes from racist attitudes toward the President.  Consider what happened for the past eight years.  The left not only refused to engage in “reasonable discourse” regarding policy, they engaged in mean-spirited attacks on President Bush.  They called him every name imaginable, from stupid to evil.  For the left to now tell conservatives that we are being mean to President Obama and not willing to engage in meaningful dialogue is amazing and best and deceptively evil at worse.

The so-called debate will rage on.  Now the President says that he may be willing to forego the “public approach" to health care.  Of course this is just another ploy.  He could not ram the legislation through before people started to read it (as he did with the “stimulus” legislation.  Now he realizes he may have to create his socialized medicine plan in stages.  Don’t be fooled and don’t allow the bullies on the left to silence our voice.  Now it is more important than ever to stand tall and firm for America!
