View Article  Who Do They Think They Are?!

Syria has called for a U.S. timetable for exiting Iraq.

First of all, who do they think they are?  Where do they get the idea that they can tell America what to do?  Well, the answer to that is overly simple...the Democrats have gained power and the Middle East knows that they now have carte blanche (pardon my French) to control American foreign policy.

Second of all, I would like to offer my timetable for the Middle East.  First, Iraq has 24 hours to end the hostility or we will do it for them. That will lead to many craters in the middle of Bagdad, but the hostility will cease. Second, any Middle East nation that tells America what to do has 24 hours to change their leadership or we will do it for them.  Again, many craters.  Finally, any Middle East nation that finds it acceptable to build a nuclear capacity has 24 hours to turn it all over to the U.S.  Again, if they don't we will do it and again many craters.

Foreign policy in the Middle East is not very complicated.  They seem to understand power.  We have it...they don't.  Let's get it done.

There seems to be debate today about what Conservatism really is.  The Republican Party has divided on the issue and Democrats haven’t a clue about what it means to be conservative.  So here is my definition of conservative.

  • Respect the Constitution of the United States of America.  Never allow it to be misinterpreted.  Never allow a lawyer or politician to use the Constitution for his or her own ends.

  • Never allow another group or government to define conservative values.

  • Never spend more money than you have and never ask people to give more than is required.

  • Never allow ethical standards and morals to be overshadowed by personal desire.

  • Never allow spirituality to be overshadowed by need for control of God and of those around us.

  • Never, ever abandon those that defend us because we don’t want to pay the emotional and financial cost of their employment.

  • Never allow any group to destroy that which is the most dear:  life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The Republican Party lost big in 2006.  They lost because they split on the meaning of conservatism.  Our Administration has done well in framing the direction for defeating islamofascism.  It has not abandoned our troops. Yet, it has failed fiscally.  It has failed morally.  It has failed spiritually.

Interestingly, Joe Lieberman won re-election for the Senate in Connecticut against a Republican and a Democrat…because he is probably more truly Conservative than either of his opponents.  It is time for the Republican Party to reassess itself and stand up for true Conservative values.  It is not too late to turn all this around for 2008.

The following letter was printed in the Minneapolis StarTribune (11/7/06).

"President John Kennedy once said that this nation 'shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.'

"Yet, when it comes to Iraq, this newspaper advocates that the price is too high, the burden too great and the hardship too much.

"We will abandon our allies in Iraq, hand that nation to our enemies, and we will forget about the noble goal of safeguarding a country trying to win a battle between democracy and anarchy.

"Kennedy's words should remind us of what is at stake in Iraq -- not just the freedom of the Iraqis, but the very democratic values which we profess to honor and support".

JAY REDING, APPLE VALLEY

We have everything to lose if we lose this second battle of the war against islamofascism.  To run is not only political suicide, it is cowardly.

View Article  An Accumulation of Thoughts

Well, things are going to get better soon for the computer because my Bro is going to help me get it going again.  In the meantime, I have stored up all kinds of thoughts related to everything going on in the world today.  I am just going to dump those thoughts here in one post.

The Social Security Administration has notified the major managed care organizations that it can not carry out the simple task of deducting Medicare Part D prescription premiums from Social Security payments promised to millions of seniors.  This is just another example of the fact that the federal government is not able to carry out any administrative task successfully.  Ye the left wants America to turn over control of all health care to the federal government in the form of universal healthcare.  This is just another example of the fact that the left thinks with its feelings and not its brain.

The one thing that is most important in preventing violence and depression is connectedness.  Yet the left is telling us that we must become a multicultural society.  Multiculturalism prevents connectedness by isolating one group from another.  It is divisive and contributes to the creation of an America that will fail as Europe has failed.

I recently had a man try to legitimize a position in an argument about leftist bias by telling me that, after all, he has a Masters Degree in American History.  Bad move.  Thinking Americans know that our Universities teach a left-biased perspective on America, past and present (read Brainwashed, Ben Shapiro).  All he did was to define the problem from a leftist perspective which was my point in the first place.

John Kerry thinks that you have to be stupid to be in the military.  Take away the fact that he served during Vietnam (does everybody know that by now?).  He has been condemning the military ever since he returned.  In order to try to minimize the impact of his statement he tried to convince the public that he was referring to President Bush.  Funny, except that Kerry’s college grades were lower than those of President Bush.  One error after another.  We are very lucky that John Kerry did not win in 2004.

Insurgents are people that try to keep another nation from taking over their country.  Those that are killing their own in Iraq are NOT insurgents.  They are islamofascist terrorists.

Finally, if we are going to win the global war on islamofascism, we can lose either of the first two battles.  I few lose in Afghanistan or Iraq we will embolden the enemy and give them strongholds that will become even more difficult to deal with.  Now is the time to stop being Mr. Nice Guy.  We have to win and that means we have to stop trying to deal with the enemy surgically.  It is time to demolish the enemy and that will mean innocents will be hurt and killed.  But if we don’t take this more drastic approach, millions more will be hurt and killed over the next two or three decades.

American has to stand up against the influence of the multiculturalists, leftist propaganda merchants, ignorant leftist politicians, and islamofascists that want us all dead.  Now it is definitely getting serious.
