The Democrat Party may well have to change its name. With the attention being given to the issue of “super delegates”, it seems clear that the party has little if any interest in Democracy. According to John Hopwood (Associated Content, February 7, 2008):

If Democracy doesn’t get Democrats what they want, they have an alternative. Just place some key political hacks in the position of making decisions about nominees. It is that simple. Why didn’t the Republicans think of that?
Maybe because they aren’t fascists.
