View Article  HOW LONG DO WE HAVE?

An email that I received today noted the following:  "About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new Constitution in 1787, Alexander Fraser Tytler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, is said to have had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier" (or the writer could have been E.M. Blaiklock, or Alexis de Tocqueville, or any one of several others who may have written this quote):

“ 'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.  From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

“ 'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years.  During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith;

2. From spiritual faith to great courage;

3. From courage to liberty;

4. From liberty to abundance;

5. From abundance to complacency;

6. From complacency to apathy;

7. From apathy to dependence;

8. From dependence back into bondage. '”

I have used a different version of this quote on this blog several times.  But as we move toward the 2008 Presidential election, this quote (regardless of who wrote it) becomes even more meaningful.  The impact of the choice of President for the next four to eight years will be remarkable.  Either we will move further into the chaos of the welfare state and liberal fascism or we will move further toward the personal accountability, responsibility, and achievement that has been the hallmark of the Reagan and Bush Administrations.

In an effort to highlight the potential damage that could be done by a leftist President, the email highlights the quote above and highlights the make-up of the electorate voting in the 2000 election.  The person cited as the author is Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota.  He denies having written the article on his website.

Also, Snopes.com (Rumor has it) http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/tyler.asp

has checked the numbers.  Whoever wrote the piece was a bit off on the numbers provided.  I am printing the figures offered in the bogus email and the figures derived by Snopes.com. (The Snopes figures are in italics.)

·        Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 (20) Republicans: 29 (30).  (According to Snopes, the discrepancy appears to be due to the fact that the original figures did not include the Florida and New Mexico vote counts.)

·        Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000. (Snopes found these numbers to be accurate.)

·        Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million. (Snopes found these numbers to be accurate.)

·        Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 (6.5), Republicans: 2.1 (4.1). (This discrepancy seems to be accounted for by different methods of calculation.  Snopes seems to make too much of this discrepancy since the result is actually the same as what was originally forwarded, just less dramatic.)

Snopes made no significant comment about the next section of the text.  “‘In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...’ Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the complacency and apathy phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase.

“If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years. If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.”

We don’t know who wrote any of what I have quoted above.  BUT, the prediction of the demise of Democracy is one that needs to be taken very seriously.  And, despite a few discrepancies in the figures, someone was very accurate in denoting the remarkable distinction between the demographics of those voting Democrat and those voting Republican.  We need to keep this in mind as we vote in November, 2008.

View Article  Cold War Never Again!

Russia is asserting its muscle.  Its muscle is weak and pathetic.  America can never again allow itself to be lured into a “Cold War” with this tyrannical dictatorship.  I just watched as Russian military cowards, faces covered, shot a Georgian news reporter.  Russia is a communist dictatorship lead by a KBG killer.  This has to end now.  America has to stand up and let Russia know that we are no longer going to stand by idly as it destroys an ELECTED sovereign government.  (Don’t even try to equate that with our actions in Iraq.  Only liberal fascists try that ploy.  Iraq was run by a dictator, not by an elected government.  Any elementary school student could address that weak argument.)

It is time for NATO to immediately admit Georgia and all the other former Soviet block nations.  Then I suggest that NATO go into Georgia and help it defend itself from Russia.

I have looked into the eyes of Putin (if only in video) and I have seen evil.  It is time to end his reign of terror before we end up in yet another decades long stand-off.

Which Presidential candidate has the balls to take this one on???

View Article  Stupid Gets Stupider!

Okay people.  When did stupid get more stupid?  Conservatives and other normal people realize that males and females have many similarities and many VERY important differences.  Inside plumbing and outside plumbing, different DNA, different hormones, and different chromosomes are among the latter.

When we parent children, most of us realize that we parent with regard to gender.  Sure, we give the girl a toy gun and the boy a toy doll.  They look at it and play with it for a few minutes and then go back to what they really like.  I have done that exercise hundreds of times and always my children went back to what they enjoyed.  My son played with toy soldiers and action figures and my daughter played with dolls and toy dish sets.  Both had all kinds of toys available, but every time they gravitated back to “gender appropriate” toys.

Okay, I know the liberal fascists disapprove of the term “gender appropriate” but the kids chose their toys.  NOT ME!

During the time I was in graduate school the commonly quoted statistic for the percent of homosexuals in America was about two percent.  My gay and lesbian friends still stand by that number give or take a percentage or two.  And yet, the “common” figure today is 12%.  How did that happen?  All of a sudden the water changed?  All of a sudden more people are “admitting” to being homosexual?  The earlier figures were based on anonymous survey data.  There was no reason to lie.  Even if the issue is greater self-disclosure today, an increase of 10% would be extraordinary by any scientific standard.

I have come to believe that the issue is not about an increase in the number of actual gay people.  The issue is that we have so romanticized homosexuality that all of a sudden it is “in” to be gay or lesbian.  College women are choosing a lesbian “lifestyle” in order to avoid having to deal with male-female relationships.  Instead of going out to the bar and tying one on, men who are jilted by a woman turn to a “sensitive male friend” and engage in “supportive male sex”.   Engaging in sex with a same-sex person doesn’t make a person gay.  In many cases it makes that person just another person avoiding the pain of real life.

In light of all this, we now have parents; often single mothers, who have no idea what it means to parent a male child.  This letter was published in the far left Minneapolis StarTribune.  The paper entitled the letter “The Princess Blitz”.  The mother (who is beyond a doubt one of the biggest Oblivions I have ever read) wrote this in response to a letter about how toy companies are selling pink toys (princess toys) to girls.

“…Companies selling princess paraphernalia are marketing to young children who are often fascinated by sparkles and beautiful things, but this marketing does not stop at young girls. My 5-year-old son had a princess-themed birthday party. He wears pink every day because it is pretty and beautiful. Who wouldn't want to feel pretty? I know a good number of 4- and 5-year-old boys who are as excited about all this pink princess stuff as my son is.

“As a parent, it is really difficult to get away from the influence of marketing, even with limited or no TV. There are some great organizations that work to protect the messages our children receive from the media, but it doesn't seem like enough.

“On a recent trip to the library, I asked Leo if he was aware that there are princess stories that are not about Disney princesses. He acted shocked. We checked out an old book of classic stories, and the Cinderella story was much more complex, gruesome and interesting. He loved it, yet the Disney princesses still have a stronghold on his preferences. I enjoyed these same stories as a kid, but not in the same way that kids today seem obsessed over them.

“There are many people in our life who have ideas on how to "fix" Leo so he stops wearing pink and growing his hair long. To me, these things are harmless. What are not harmless are the impressions we are sending to our boys and girls. (Anna Delmoro Peterson, Minneapolis)

Anna, Anna, Anna.  First off, I find it hard to believe that your son would have wanted a princess-themed birthday party unless he was being feminized, day-by-day by YOU!  This kid needs a male influence…an uncle, friend, Big Brother…someone to help him learn what it means to be a male.  That doesn’t mean he can’t experience some of the feminine aspects of life…like being sensitive and caring…but he needs to learn how to hunt and fish and dig in the dirt.  YOU, Anna, are failing as a mother.  As a result, you are creating yet another child who will become an adult who thinks he is a gay man or who thinks he is a “transgendered person”.

Tell your son he is a boy.  Tell him he can play with dolls but also make available to him all the fun things that most boys enjoy…baseballs, fishing poles, slingshots, and in a few years, a shotgun and a rifle so he can go hunting.  Dig in the dirt with him.  Show him you are not “just a woman” but a PERSON…just as he is a PERSON!

Because of the impact of the far left, America has already emasculated many of its males, “masculated” many of its women, and destroyed much of its moral fabric.  We have to turn the tide!  Let’s take America back from the Hollywood drama queens, the elitists in the media and in politics, and all of the leftists running our universities and colleges.  Let’s all go out and teach people like Anna to parent!

This is not a criticism of real homosexuals.  It is an extreme criticism of Ann Delmoro Peterson and all like her who are so oblivious that they are afraid to stand up as parents and PARENT!

I still am waiting to hear from all of Mr. Stoner's supporters.  Now is the time to step up and apologize to America!
View Article  The Exploding Head

Sometimes I have all I can do to keep my head from exploding!

I keep telling myself to stop reading “letters to the editor” in the liberal fascist press.  Yet I still do!  And then my blood pressure goes up and I have to take more medicine!

Here is an example of what I mean.  Let me preface this by saying that in America, our access to medical imagining technology is second to none.  When I had back surgery, I had an MRI within minutes of being admitted to the hospital.  Later, I had two MRI’s, one CT Scan, and one Ultra Sound test, all within just a few days.  Had I not had access to those tests under my managed care plan, I would have experienced additional damage to my back and to my sciatic nerve which could have led to paralysis.

Despite this incredible record of access, there is always room for improvement.  In Minneapolis, a plan is in place to increase access even more by creating a new imaging center and consolidating some existing equipment, including PET Scan devices which are more limited than MRI, CT Scan, and Ultra Sound technology.

Then out of nowhere, a moron appears.  Usually these morons try to equate America’s access to health care, including imaging technology, with that of Canada.  Anyone who lives in Canada knows that there is no real comparison between access to specialized medical services in America and Canada.  I have a very good friend who is a Canadian citizen who knows the limitations of the Canadian health care system.  I also have a relative who is a Canadian citizen.  She has a severely damaged hip which makes it very difficult for her to get around.  Yet, it took her six months to be given an MRI.  (When she finally received the MRI, it indicated that she needed a hip replacement.  Yet, the health care administrators refused to fund a hip replacement “because she is too young”.)

Whenever anyone tries to positively equate health care in America and Canada, it is clear that he or she is an Oblivion (either Type One or Type Two).  The most recent example is a person named Seymour Handler who wrote a letter to the editor to the Minneapolis StarTribune (7/30/08).  Just to make sure you understand the depth of this person’s ignorance, I will quote his letter in its entirety.

“More Isn't Better”

“The proposal to create a new imaging center in Edina, funded by several provider entities, represents a further commercialization of health care, worsens cost inflation and contributes nothing to the health of our citizens. Medicare data clearly indicates that when physicians have a financial interest in free-standing, for-profit imaging or surgical centers, referrals to these centers increase, higher fees are charged, and indications for the tests and procedures are expanded.

“There are as many MRI scanners in the Twin Cities as in all of Canada. Is the health of Canadians compromised by fewer imaging studies? Obviously not (highlight mine). There is no relationship between the number of tests and procedures performed in medical care and the health outcomes of the patients.

“More medical care is not better care. The Health Department should carefully examine the merits of this expansion of imaging services.”

First, this guy admits that there are fewer MRI scanners in Canada than in two relatively small American cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota).  Then he asserts that this doesn’t compromise the health care of Canadians!  He punctuates his assertion with the statement “Obviously not!”  Obvious to whom!!!  That is the question. Such an assertion is obvious only to a moron that has no idea what he is talking about.

I hope some of my Canadian friends will respond here on by email.  I respect the people of Canada greatly!  I know they realize that their socialist health care system is weak and does not provide them quality service.  I look forward to your responses.

In the meantime, I hope that all of you will challenge the socialist, liberal fascist morons! When we are silent they win and we move one step closer to socialism.

View Article  Regarding Michael Stoner

Please see the picture of Michael Stoner on the right.  As you look at his picture, know that this is a convicted child abuser.  I am sure that many will see that face and deny that he could ever abuse a child.  Yet, he pleaded out...meaning he had no defense except for his lies.  Where are the people who wrote to me to condemn me for asking the system to hold him accountable?  I am fed up with people who refuse to hold abusers accountable.

I will see you in Hell, Michael.  I will beat you there...and I will greet you at the gate.
