View Article  This Makes No Sense

For the past eight years, Democrat politicians, academicians, the elite media, and nearly all of the drama queens in Hollywood criticized the policies of President George W. Bush.  Worse, however, they demonized and condemned President Bush, the man.  They called him stupid, evil, and worse.

Condemning a human being who has been elected to lead any organization, especially America, is just plain wrong.  Policy, of course, is fair game.  Or is it?

As President Obama moves through his first few weeks in office, apparently the rules have changed.  Most people in America, including Republicans, are not demonizing and condemning President Obama, the man.  Many of us ARE criticizing President Obama’s policies.  Rush Limbaugh was probably clearest when he stated that he “wants the country to succeed but the stated policies of the administration will not achieve that objective.  I support the president but I opposed his policies.”

However, apparently even that is no longer allowed under the new administration.  Any criticism of President Obama’s policies is taken as a criticism of President Obama the man.  In some cases, criticisms of his policies are cast as racism.  In other cases such criticism is taken as a desire to see America fail.  And the funniest of all…sometimes criticism is taken as an attack on the effort by President Obama to “end partisanship and to bring America together”.  That one is really funny.  Why is it only when a Democrat is in office that we all need to work together…whether or not we believe in the basic foundation of the policies being presented and whether or not we believe that those policies will bring an end to America as we know it?  Obviously over the past eight years, no one on the left was concerned about bringing America together…unless of course that meant seeing the Right assume the position and take what the left was thrusting upon us.  Another Constitutional Amendment is biting the dust as the left takes control…the First Amendment right to freedom of speech.

As for me…I support America.  I support America as she IS and has been since the Constitution was written and ratified… a Republic with a capitalist economy and a Constitution that guides us.  A nation built upon hard work, Judeo-Christian ethics, individual rights, and the strength to not only defend itself but to defend other peoples in other nations who need a bit of support to confront and defeat evil.

I do NOT support policies that will destroy this nation.  Everything that President Obama has done so far has begun the process of eroding the foundation of this country and thus the beginning of the end for America.

I have said this before.  As a veteran, I support the position of Commander-in-Chief.  However, I cannot support policies that will further weaken America.

God bless us all.

By the way...where are all the Michael Stoner apologists today?  Many of them came in here to criticize our desire to find the truth in the incredible abuse perpetrated against Emmaline Manning.  Now that the verdict is in, I have not heard a word.  Anyone care to defend the perp today?

I have been away for awhile. When Obama was elected I was disheartened, to say the least.  Pundits claimed that when elected, President Obama would be more centrist than expected.  So I waited to write anything.   Now the truth is evident. Obama has acted quickly to enact his liberal agenda.  His actions have already begun the destruction of what has been built to save this country from islamofascism.

Within a very short time, Khalid Duhham Al-Jawary will be released from federal prison.  This is the man, who in 1973 planted bombs in rental cars around Manhattan near Israeli targets.  Fortunately the bombs didn’t explode.  Unfortunately, Al-Jawary escaped.  He was caught in the 1990’s and sentenced to 30 years in prison.  But, now, only about 15 years later, he is being released on “good behavior”. President Obama could choose to intervene, but he hasn’t.

Also, a Saudi who was released from Guantanamo Bay went to Yemen as a leader of a terror group.  To the surprise of some, terrorists don’t just change their opinions and behavior because they have been contained for a short period of time.

In the case of Al-Jawary, we see the result of trying terrorists within our criminal justice system.  A man who not only tried to kill thousands in New York City but who also is believed to have had a role in the bombing of a TWA flight in 1974 (killing 88 people) ands several other terrorist attacks is being released on good behavior.

In the second case, we see that even when we have terrorists contained in Gitmo, we still can’t let them go haphazardly.  Opening the gates will create utter devastation in our country and in the world.

This is a prelude to the future.  Our new President has signed executive orders to close Guantanamo Bay.  He has also signed an order to prevent “harsh interrogation”.  From this point on, those who are trying to protect us from terrorists will only be able to use techniques included in the Army Field Manual.  That means we will be helpless against terrorists.  The Army Field Manual is based on the Geneva Conventions.  Those rules apply to solders who are representing a specific government and who are in uniform.  Terrorists are neither.  We can’t try these evil people in federal prisons under criminal law because they haven’t been given their Miranda rights on the battle field.  None of what they say can be admitted as evidence.

Despite the realities we are facing and the backing down from resolve to defeat terrorists, John D. Hudson, retired admiral and law school dean (the latter says it all) is confident that the administration will come up with an alternative solution to keeping Gitmo open.  He admits he doesn’t know, yet, what that solution will be.  This is how liberals think and this is just another liberal Pie-In-Sky-Solution (PISS) to a real problem that they have no idea how to manage.

The Democrats don’t even know what harsh techniques are…but the terrorists do.  They kill thousands of people in the name of their religion and they even kill themselves.  President Obama stated that “We believe that we can abide by a rule that says that ‘we don’t torture but we can effectively gain the intelligence we need’”.  Yet another liberal Pie-In-Sky-Solution.  Yet another fantasy.  President Obama should talk with former President Jimmy Carter about that kind of fantasy and how well they worked with Iran.

How is it possible that we will ever be able to defend ourselves when our Commander-in-Chief is tying the hands of those responsible for protecting us.  This is worse than the four years of cowardice overseen by President Carter.

Many of the policies and procedures put in place by the Bush administration are going to be dismantled by a man who has no ideas what he is doing.  He has no military experience.  He has very little real life experience in general.  Despite all the abuse put upon president Bush, at least he was in the military and was able to fly a jet aircraft. President Obama apparently couldn’t even fly a kite.  The fact that we now have a Commander-in-Chief with such little real life experience is pathetic, especially when we are in the middle of the greatest war we have faced up until now.

During the election and during the build up to the inauguration, and during the inaugural speech itself, many of us asked what Obama meant by the term “change”.  Some of us were worried that we knew but hoped we were wrong.  Now the question has been answered.  “Change” equals creating an America that is a liberal fascist state…a state not that different from pre-World War II Germany.

E.J. Dionne, Jr. (Washington Post, 1/22) made a very good point.  He stated that the extent to which those on the left and right both claim that President Obama is on their side is a very bad sign.  Paraphrasing Dionne, the evidence so far is a sign of a lack of integrity in our new leader.  Agree or not, we know who President Bush is.  President Obama lacks that integrity.  That allowed him to win the election and it will lead to the weakening of our nation.

But it is too late.  The election is over and President Obama is in office.  Now have to deal with it.  That means standing fast to conservative ideals.

As a veteran, I will respect the position of Commander-in-Chief.  I cannot respect a man who has done everything possible in the course of 100 hours to destroy the country that allowed him to be President.

This is happening fast.  I waited all this time to see what he would do.  Now I have to begin writing again.  Clearly, President Obama is instituting liberal fascism in America.

Good luck to all of us and may God bless us all.
